So,,,Watchmen...
What to say, what to say...
First, not one to bring the kids to.
This is NOT your family friendly fun to watch Fantastic Four, or X-Men movie. Graphic violence and lots of nudity abound. - My brother and I were both traumatized by the (thanks to the iMax screen we viewed it on) disturbingly large blue-glowing-hog, that got in our opinion waaaaay to much screen time. Don’t get me wrong, the blue guy, aka Mr. Manhattan was probably the coolest character in the movie, but geez man, put it away will ya! - There are grown men trying to enjoy a hot-dog here!
Moving away from big blue.
The story posed an interesting question. Without giving away the movie, the basic theme was is it better to kill a million to save a billion? It’s a theme that other movies have explored before, and done a better job I feel.
I go to the movies looking to be entertained and amused. Cringing at some particularly graphic scenes isn’t my idea of a good time. So I can’t give it a thumbs up. The style of the film was interesting, but it didn’t leave me wanting to see it again by any means.
In the end - not horrible, but far from great.
